3 Things You May Not Know Our Accounts Pro­gram Does

After the suc­cess of our online train­ing in Jan­u­ary ​‘How to save time on farm admin’, we not­ed some of our Total cus­tomers are unaware of some of the in-built, time-sav­ing fea­tures already in their accounts program.

Here we share these with you, along with links to find out more.

#1 Auto bank rec

Our Total accounts pro­gram allows you to upload your bank state­ment and our soft­ware will match up all the trans­ac­tions, sav­ing you hours of ardu­ous match­ing and tick­ing off. Here’s a full run-through,

#2 Auto­mate reg­u­lar payments

If there are pay­ments that come out at reg­u­lar peri­ods such as stand­ing orders, you can sim­ply set these up so every month (or what­ev­er peri­od you spec­i­fy) the accounts will auto­mat­i­cal­ly process those pay­ments. Check out our TOTAL2 how-to video explain­ing repeat pay­ments.

#3 Find any cus­tomer or sup­pli­er with 1 click

Did you know that when look­ing for a customer/​supplier (or when on any list on our pro­gram!) in your Accounts, press­ing the F4 key at the top of your key­board drops down the menu. This will allow you to quick­ly locate the name (or item) from the let­ters you have typed.

Should You Store Your Farm Data in ​‘The Cloud’

It feels as though near­ly all soft­ware com­pa­nies are now join­ing the realms of run­ning all their customer’s data in The Cloud.

Whilst we appre­ci­ate there are sig­nif­i­cant ben­e­fits to be had, we also acknowl­edge that for many farm­ers, par­tic­u­lar­ly those with inter­mit­tent inter­net, The Cloud may not be the best solu­tion right now.
