Website ‘Cookies’

How do we use your information?
We will only use your information to carry out our duties to fulfil any agreements entered into between yourselves and us and to comply with our Statutory Obligations.

By agreeing to our customer declaration when sending your dataset to us you consent to SUM-IT holding your dataset on our secure systems for as long as is necessary to complete the current task and to remedy any subsequent issues.
Who has access to your information?
Your data is only accessible to staff within the SUM-IT organisation. All SUM-IT staff have read and signed the SUM-IT confidentiality agreement.
We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.
We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes or for any other purpose without your expressed permission. We will only share your information with our partners for the purpose of providing warranty services for the hardware provided to you by SUM-IT.

Using SUM-IT Software to send Emails
To be able to use the emailing facility from SUM-IT software, the program stores certain information pertinent to your email account within your dataset. There are two different ways you can allow access to your email account to allow the sending of emails on your behalf and each method requires access to different information:
1. OAuth2
Your SUM-IT software will access and store:
• Your email address
• Tokens from your email provider that allow the software to make an authorised email send from your account
2. SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)
Your SUM-IT software will access and store, as supplied by you:
• Your email address
• Your email account user name and password
• Your email service’s SMTP server name
The data outlined above is stored within your personal dataset and is not held centrally by SUM-IT. It is retained within your dataset until you choose to remove it which can be done at any time via the Total program.
We do not access, store or share any other information pertaining to your email account.
Contact
We will only occasionally contact you to keep you abreast of our latest developments in our software and services, invite you to training courses on SUM-IT services or to notify you of our attendance at shows.
Clearly SUM-IT will respond to emails you send to us. SUM-IT will only initiate an email correspondence to you to provide our services, to remedy any subsequent issues or to meet our obligations to you
Updating your information

Please contact Geoff Ley (MD) of Sum-It Computer Systems Ltd in the first instance and we will endeavour to resolve any issue. However, this does not affect your right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory body (Information Commissioner’s Office) regarding the way your data is handled.
